Blog 5: A job you would like to have in the future

 Hi everyone,

I've always dreamed of working in the audiovisual medium, like in music videos, series or movies designing the visual world of a production, so being an art director would be like a dream. 

What I like about working as an art director, is to be able to create and design the visual style that a project requires, to think about the details and what can be communicated through them, the idea of being able to define the color palette, the materialities, the silhouette of the costumes, for the universe of each project, I love it.

I think my career develops a very similar work when you have to create a design proposal that covers all areas for a play, working from a concept that unifies the costumes, space and lighting. 

Some useful skills for the art director are the ability to work in a team, to be able to communicate ideas effectively, to have diverse references, to know about composition, color theory, materialities, as well as having the ability to solve problems quickly.

Finally, what I would like most is to be passionate about the project and immerse myself in the world that is being created, in its colors, textures and shapes, and then be able to see how it is being built in reality.
